  • Board certification in:
    • Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship.
  • Possession of an active, unrestricted medical license (or the ability to obtain one).
  • Comfortable operating within a self-pay or cash-based clinical framework.
  • Excellent communication skills with a patient-centered focus.

Preferred

  • Additional training or certification in one or more of the following areas:
    • Functional Medicine (e.g., IFM or equivalent)
    • Obesity Medicine (ABOM or equivalent experience)
    • Hormone replacement therapy
    • Lifestyle or longevity medicine
  • Previous experience in:
    • Sports medicine clinics
    • Concierge or direct primary care
    • Practices focused on performance, wellness, or optimization
  • A desire to develop and expand a service line within a larger orthopedic organization.

Practice Environment & Model

  • Cash-pay or membership-based structure with bundled care options.
  • No obligations for primary care call.
  • Robust internal referral network from orthopedic specialists.
  • Focus on quality of care, patient outcomes, and overall experience.
  • Opportunities for leadership and program development.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Enjoys integrating sports medicine with metabolic and functional care.
  • Aims to move beyond the limitations of insurance-driven visits.
  • Values patient outcomes, education, and fostering long-term relationships.
  • Recognizes the interplay between weight, hormones, performance, and musculoskeletal health.
  • Possesses an entrepreneurial spirit but prefers a focus on clinical leadership rather than administrative tasks.
