Technical Writer

Technical Writer OnsiteDiversified Systems is searching for a Technical Writer to support the Department of Technology by developing, maintaining, and improving administrative technology policies, governance documentation, and supporting materials. The consultant will work closely with Department of Technology leadership, senior staff, legal teams, and stakeholders to ensure policies align with organizational objectives, industry standards, and public-sector best practices.Responsibilities:Drafting of Administrative Technology Policies for the Department of Technology (60%)Researching policies and procedures of like organizations (States, Counties, Locals, Universities) for framework of City of Columbus IT Policies (20%)Working with DOT Leadership, Senior Staff and Legal to review and update drafted policies (10%).Preparing PowerPoint presentations and assisting workgroup meetings (10%).Requirements:4 years of experience writing administrative and technology IT governance policies and procedures required.3 years of experience researching market trends for public sector IT organizations required.Strong technical writing and documentation skills required.Experience collaborating with executive leadership and legal teams required.Experience creating presentations and supporting stakeholder meetings required.Strong written and verbal communication skills required.About Diversified Systems Founded in 1990, Diversified Systems is an award-winning Technology Services corporation providing all levels of IT project consulting services nationwide.
