Job Description
The Runner/Polisher is a regular food runner but is also responsible for the back station. Polishing of all flatware and glassware after it has been sent through the dishwasher.
Restaurant Operations
- Perform assigned side work.
- Adhere to the restaurant grooming, uniform, and hygiene standards.
- Know all table numbers and position numbers.
- Assist expo in any needs he/she may have in setting up the pass or kitchen side stations
During Service
- Assist dishwasher in scraping plates, racking glasses and soaking flatware.
- Minimize breakage with proper handling of china and glassware.
- Clean and maintain your work area at all times.
- Act professional and accommodating and always maintain your composure.
Communication
- Be aware if a Guest is unhappy and notify a Captain or a Manager.
- Communicate with a Manager about any items "out of stock" or below par level.
- Identify and report any problems to management immediately.
- Be able to answer general questions about Citrin / Melisse.
Requirements
- Flexible availability to work nights, weekends and holidays
- Positive, engaging personality and professional appearance
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Ability to communicate well with different team members
- Good understanding of food and wine and coffee knowledge
- Ability to stand, walk for extended periods and lift up to 25lbs
- High school diploma
- Any additional education, training, certificate is a plus
Compensation Details
Compensation: Hourly ($18.47) plus tips
Estimated Weekly Tips: $550.00
