Orientation & Schedule Orientation: June 1, 2026 Date: June 2, 2026 – June 30, 2026 (No classes on June 19th, 2026) Staff Hours: 8:30am – 2:30pm Location: Dr. James Mitchem Early Childhood Center JOB SUMMARY The Speech-Language Pathologist will provide students with both consult, integrated and direct services to support the speech goals as outlined in each student's IEP. They will also conduct screening and assessments as part of the IEP/evaluation process. Additional duties may be assigned in accordance with provisions of the Board's policies and requirements. QUALIFICATIONS Current Illinois PEL Professional Educator License in Speech Language Pathology Experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist Ability to write and implement Individual Educational Plans (IEPs) Excellent communication skills with students, teachers, parents, and the student resource team and a willingness to spend time to assure such communication takes place Ability to modify instructional materials for students assigned to his/her classroom Experience communicating with bilingual families verbally and in writing preferred Previous experience with Extended School Year preferred WORKING CONDITIONS Salary: $40.00 per hour. Applicants must work the entire summer session. No vacation times or substitutes are acceptable.
