Help duties include, but are not limited to:

• Provides conscious sedation.
• Provides patient care, care coordination, health promotion, health education and coaching on wellness, disease prevention, and chronic care management
• May function in several roles to include, pre-procedure assessments, post procedural recovery, and assisting physicians during procedures
• Assesses the patients physical and mental status prior to procedures, educates on procedural and post-procedural care, and documents responses to interventions, findings, and reports any changes.
• Establishes a therapeutic relationship, allowing the patient to attain, maintain or regain optimal function through assessment and treatment.
• Engages patients, families, and other caregivers to incorporate knowledge, values, and beliefs into care planning without judgement or discrimination.
• Provides competent, evidence-based procedural care to assigned patients and oversight of licensed vocational nurses and health/nursing assistants, as appropriate to the procedural setting
• Assumes responsibility for the coordination of care focused on patient transition through the continuum of patient care, patient and family education, patient self-management after discharge, and supporting factors that impact customer satisfaction.
• Collaborates in the development, implementation, evaluation, and revision of policies, procedures, and/or guidelines.
