Job Title: Neurodiagnostic Techno II Non-Standard Shift Details: Variable - Days/Nights - 7p-7:30a or 7a-7:30p FTE: 0.9 On-Call Required?: no Weekends Required?: Shifts may be on the weekend if necessary
Duties:
Job Summary:
-May provide instruction and guidance to other technologists in the Neurodiagnostic and/or Sleep Disorders Lab.
-Performs diagnostic patient testing electroencephalogram (EEG), electromyography (EMG), nerve conduction velocities (NCV), sensory evoked potentials (EP), and polysomnographic testing with possible oxygen therapy and continuous positive air pressure treatments (CPAP).
-Performs room and equipment set-up and placement in hospital rooms, operating rooms, or clinics.
-Calibrates and maintains equipment.
-Reads and scores neurodiagnostic and/or polysomnographic tests.
-Takes patient histories.
-Instruct patients and families on test preparation, pre-test interviews, and follow-up appointments.
Required Skills & Experience:
-If completion of an acceptable program of Neurophysiology: No prior experience required.
-Requires High School Diploma if no graduation from an acceptable program of Neurophysiology AND two (2) years of experience performing a variety of Sleep or Neurodiagnostics procedures. Preferred Skills & Experience:

-Nerve Conduction Velocity studies (NCV).
-Polysomnography (RPSGT).
-Registered Sleep Technologist (RST).
-BLS (AHA or ARC).
