POSITION SUMMARY: The Sales Outfitter - Firearms is responsible for maintaining Counter Sales and Customer Service for Firearms along with Floor and Counter Sales of other Hunting Merchandise. They perform various selling/customer service activities, including greeting and acknowledging all customers in a prompt and friendly manner, handling merchandise with care, and providing information, assistance, and direction to customers. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Supports a strong commitment to world class customer service and ensures a pleasant and productive shopping experience for all customers. Provides a legendary experience for every customer by assisting in making buying decisions through identifying customer needs, making product recommendations, and promoting programs such as CLUB membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick up. Ensures 4473 Forms are completed thoroughly and accurately. Demonstrates products to customers. Organizes and maintains merchandise within the store for sales at the Gun Counter. Replenishes stock as required and maintains product knowledge through ongoing training. Remains knowledgeable of advertised sales, maintains pricing and signage. Assists with seasonal merchandise moves, keeps work area clean and stocked, and follows all company policies and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned. EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or equivalent. 0-2 years of retail experience. Must be 21 years of age or older. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY: Product knowledge of Firearms and Ammunition. Knowledge of ATF Federal and State Regulations. Customer service and sales experience in Firearms and Ammunition. Ability to merchandise and stock products. TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: N/A PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Constant standing and walking. Occasional use of ladders, stairs, and ramps. Frequent communication with others. Occasional repetitive motions, machinery operation, and lifting objects up to 100 pounds with team assistance. Ability to work in confined spaces and noisy environments. INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT: Performs tasks under general supervision, using established procedures and innovation. Makes recommendations for work procedures and policies.
