3rd shift 11pm - 7am
Overtime when required

Summary: Hand Grinding and selecting/setting cutting speeds feed rates depth/degree of cuts and cutting tools according to Blueprint specifications.

Essential duties and responsibilities

• Measure dimensions of completed products or workpieces to verify conformance to specifications.
• Compare physical characteristics of materials or products to specifications or standards.
• Smooth metal surfaces or edges.
• Measure materials to mark reference points cutting lines or other indicators.
• Trim excess material from workpieces.
• Mark products workpieces or equipment with identifying information.
• Operate grinding equipment.
• Load materials into production equipment.
• Mount materials or workpieces onto production equipment.
• Record operational or production data.
• Reshape metal workpieces to established specifications.
• Sharpen cutting or grinding tools.

Job Requirements

• Ability to bend lift and stand for duration of shift.
• Ability to lift parts up to 50lbs.
• Ability to prioritize safety and the use of safety gear.
• Ability to read blueprints and follow specification sheets.
• Basic computer literacy

Knowledge of basic hand/power tools
