About the PositionA private family with multiple business and investment interests is seeking an experienced accounting professional to oversee the financial records, reporting, and compliance for its individuals, companies, and organizations. This is a high-trust, high-level role requiring integrity, confidentiality, diligence, and grit.

The Accountant will receive support from bookkeeping and administrative staff and will work closely with the family's principals, outside advisors, and business managers.
Responsibilities- Recordkeeping: Maintain general ledgers for multiple entities and individuals; oversee accounts payable and receivable.
- Reconciliation: Reconcile bank, credit card, and investment accounts on a regular schedule.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements under GAAP, including consolidated reporting.
- Tax: Prepare or coordinate individual, business, and trust or estate returns, and identify tax-saving strategies.
- Compliance: Maintain internal controls and audit-ready records.
- Analysis and Budgeting: Develop annual budgets, monitor forecasts, and analyze data to support cost control and growth planning.
- Investment Tracking: Track portfolio holdings, performance, and cost basis.
- Coordination: Work with CPAs, attorneys, bankers, and advisors.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar software.
- Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Proven integrity and discretion with sensitive information.
- CPA or CMA credential.
- Experience in family office, high-net-worth, or multi-entity accounting.
- Experience with partnerships, S corporations, trusts, and estate or gift tax matters.
- Position type: Full-time, option for Health Benefits.
