**Qualifications:** A director shall have attained one of the following qualification levels: (1) A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and 1 year of experience with children. Any of the following majors also qualify you for the position: Administration of Justice, African American Studies, Anthropology, Art/Dance Therapy, Behavioral Science, Child Development, Communication Disorders(Speech & Hearing), Community Affairs, Criminology, Criminal Justice, Drama Therapy, Dance Therapy, Economics, Education (all majors), Employee Relations, Employment Services, Family Relations, Geography, Gerontology, Government Management, Health or Health Education, History, HR Management, Human Behavior, Human Services, Movement Therapy, Music Therapy, Nursing (Health), Occupational Therapy, Organizational Management, Physical Therapy, Probation & Parole, Political Science, Psychology, Public Assistance, Public Relations, Rehabilitation or Rehab Counseling, Recreational Therapy, Social Services, Social Work/Welfare, Sociology, Speech Pathology, Special Education, Therapeutic Recreation, Urban Affairs, Vocational Education or Counseling, Women's Studies or Youth Development. (2) A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, including 30 credit hours in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and 2 years of experience with children. (3) An associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and 3 years of experience with children. (4) An associate’s degree from an accredited college or university, including 30 credit hours in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and 4 years of experience with children. **Experience:** (1) Experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting (2) Ability to work independently and as part of a team (3) Strong communication and interpersonal skills (4) Ability to maintain a positive and patient demeanor in a fast-paced environment (5) A strong commitment to providing high-quality childcare and education (6) Detailed oriented and organized **Skills:** - Childcare experience - Ability to educate and engage children - Experience with children - Experience with finances and planning - Experience with leadership ***We are an equal opportunity employer.*** Job Type: Full-time (at least 30 hours per week) Schedule:
- 5x6 to 5x8
- No weekends
- Teaching: 1 year (Preferred)
- Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)
