This job is for The EduPLAYtion Station, located on Front St in Philipsburg.

**Job Overview:**

We are seeking a caring and experienced Daycare professional to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing a safe and nurturing environment for children aged infant to school aged, while also promoting their physical, emotional, and cognitive development. The Daycare Director provider will work closely with our early childhood education team to implement engaging activities and lesson plans that cater to each child's unique needs and abilities as well as manage the day to day operations of the center. **Duties:**

A director is responsible for the general management of the facility, including the following minimum duties:

(1) Administering finances, personnel, maintenance, meal planning and preparation.

(2) Administering the facility’s program objectives and activities.

(3) Designating a staff person who is responsible for compliance with this chapter in the Director’s absence.

(4) Coordinating and planning daily activities with the group supervisors or with the assistant group supervisors in school-age program.

(5) Overall program planning.

(6) Written evaluation of staff persons on a regular basis, a minimum of one evaluation every 12 months.

(7) Other duties as deemed necessary to ensure operations at center comply with state rules and regulations.


**Qualifications:**

A director shall have attained one of the following qualification levels:

(1) A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and 1 year of experience with children. Any of the following majors also qualify you for the position: Administration of Justice, African American Studies, Anthropology, Art/Dance Therapy, Behavioral Science, Child Development, Communication Disorders­(Speech & Hearing), Community Affairs, Criminology, Criminal Justice, Drama Therapy, Dance Therapy, Economics, Education (all majors), Employee Relations, Employment Services, Family Relations, Geography, Gerontology, Government Management, Health or Health Education, History, HR Management, Human Behavior, Human Services, Movement Therapy, Music Therapy, Nursing (Health), Occupational Therapy, Organizational­ Management, Physical Therapy, Probation & Parole, Political Science, Psychology, Public Assistance, Public Relations, Rehabilitation or Rehab­ Counseling, Recreational Therapy, Social Services, Social Work/Welfare, Sociology, Speech Pathology, Special Education, Therapeutic Recreation, Urban Affairs, Vocational Education or­ Counseling, Women's Studies or Youth Development.

(2) A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, including 30 credit hours in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and 2 years of experience with children.

(3) An associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and 3 years of experience with children.

(4) An associate’s degree from an accredited college or university, including 30 credit hours in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and 4 years of experience with children.

**Experience:**

(1) Experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting

(2) Ability to work independently and as part of a team

(3) Strong communication and interpersonal skills

(4) Ability to maintain a positive and patient demeanor in a fast-paced environment

(5) A strong commitment to providing high-quality childcare and education

(6) Detailed oriented and organized

**Skills:**

- Childcare experience

- Ability to educate and engage children

- Experience with children

- Experience with finances and planning

- Experience with leadership

  • 5x6 to 5x8
  • No weekends
