Health and Safety Advisor

As our operations continue to grow, we are seeking a motivated and ambitious Health & Safety Advisor who is looking to develop their career. This role provides a unique opportunity to gain hands‑on experience across laboratory, manufacturing, engineering and operational environments while contributing to the continuous development of our health, safety and compliance systems. The Opportunity Health and Safety management systems. ISO 9001 implementation and auditing. ISO 45001 preparation. Regulatory compliance and inspections. Incident investigation and Root Cause Analysis (RCA). Safety leadership and culture development. Strategic health and safety planning. As the business continues to grow, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to take ownership of larger projects and progressively develop into a future Health & Safety Manager role. Assist with risk assessments, COSHH assessments and DSEAR assessments. Support permit‑to‑work activities and contractor management. Participate in incident investigations and Root Cause Analysis. Track corrective and preventative actions through to completion. Deliver health and safety inductions and awareness training. Support development of toolbox talks, safety campaigns and communications. Promote employee engagement in health and safety initiatives. Monitoring & Reporting Conduct workplace inspections and behavioural observations. Monitor accident, near miss and hazard reporting systems. Support KPI reporting and trend analysis. Assist with emergency preparedness exercises and response planning. Identify opportunities to improve safety performance and compliance. Support implementation of safety improvement projects. Contribute to the ongoing development of company policies, procedures and standards. Gradually assume ownership of selected management system elements as experience develops.
