Night Shift 4pm - 4:30am 

2-2-3 Schedule

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Daily cleaning of machinery
• Assembling and dissembling specific machinery at the end of the product run. 
• Perform all duties on the daily and weekly cleaning schedules.
• Follow protocols for food safe environment in accordance with sanitation SOP’s.
• Wear personal protective equipment required in the facility.
• Be able to get the job done with minimal supervision.
• Report safety hazards.

Experience, Skills and Abilities

• Alignment with the company mission - we’re passionate about our greens! We’re looking for a team of like-minded people focused on providing healthy, locally grown produce to the community.
• 1 year of related experience in a food manufacturing or agricultural environment preferred but not required
• Great attendance and dedication to the craft – the team heavily depends on one another to be on time and accountable.
• Flexibility to work the hours necessary to meet the needs of BrightFarms which may include overtime hours, daily and/or weekend.
• Ability to follow instructions, cooperate and collaborate with all employees and management. Collaboration is key to keeping our team united. 
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time, bend, climb, and lift up to 40lbs.
• Open to applicants who do not have a high school diploma/GED
• Detail oriented and organized
• Other duties as assigned

Work Environment

This is a manual labor position in all areas of the greenhouse. This means you will be working in the Cooler (35F-40F for part or all your shift and will dress accordingly. Employees will have some exposure to seasonal conditions which may range from extreme heat and humidity in the summer to cold in the winter. Often working near moving mechanical parts. There will be exposure to cleaning chemicals. The noise level of machines and cooling units can be loud .

Physical requirements

While performing the duties of this job, employees are expected to constantly use hands to finger, handle or feel, as well as talk and hear. There is frequent standing, walking, reaching with hands and arms, as well as stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing. The lifting requirements is up to 40 pounds. The employee should have clear correctable vision at close and distance range, as well as peripheral vision to notice safety hazards.
