Test Technician II

This role involves collaborating extensively with engineering teams to improve test procedures and product quality.
The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains - air, land, sea, space and cyber. Responsibilities:- Execute complex testing scenarios.
- Perform detailed analysis and reporting.
- Troubleshoot and resolve advanced issues.
- Improve test procedures based on findings.
- Mentor junior technicians.
- Assist in the development of new testing protocols.
- Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of testing equipment.
- Document and report anomalies or deviations during testing.
- Participate in cross-functional team meetings to discuss test outcomes.
- Associate's degree in a related field of study.
- 1+ years' experience as a technician or in a related field.
- Relevant experience can be considered as a substitute for the required educational qualifications. In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 3 years of related experience is required.
- Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
- Basic understanding of technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and/or publications.
- Basic understanding of test concepts and techniques.
- General experience with standard laboratory test, calibration, and other measurement equipment.
- Associate's degree with a focus on Electronics.
- Experience in Linux and Red Hat.
- Familiarity with MIL Standard 810 Test Standards.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense, or US Military.
- Certification in Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing.
- Perform testing processes on equipment, including the ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly.
- Conduct fault isolation and troubleshooting, requiring hand/finger dexterity.
- Analyze and document test results, spending significant time on computers.
- Work in potentially hazardous or loud environments, following safety protocols.
- Ability to travel may be required.
- For office roles, capability to work in an office or hybrid environment.
This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment. Non-U.S. citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Department of Defense Consolidated Adjudications Facility (DoD CAF), a federal government agency, handles the adjudicative aspects of the security clearance eligibility process for industry applicants. Adjudicative factors which affect the outcome of the eligibility determination include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the U.S., foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and illegal drug use.
