Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 Weeks) | Full-Time | Days | Onsite | 40 Hours Guaranteed per Week | 8-Hour Variable Shifts (0700–1530, 0900–1730, 1100–1930)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care across a high-volume OR environment handling approximately 40–60 cases per day across 21 operating rooms and all surgical specialties
• Circulate in the OR as a primary function; scrub experience utilized as needed
• Perform required surgical specialties including Orthopedics, Neurosurgery (craniotomies), and Spine
• Participate in on-call rotation including 6–8 weeknight call shifts and 1–2 weekend call shifts during the 13-week contract, with a 30-minute response time requiring physical presence in the OR
• Float to other regional facility locations as needed
• Complete downtime tasks and maintain flexibility to adapt to changing census and scheduling needs

Required Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin RN License
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
• Minimum 5 years of OR experience, including experience in a large facility with a comparable OR volume (20+ ORs)
• At least 1 prior travel nursing assignment required
• Level II Trauma experience required
• Circulator experience required
• Must have personal reliable transportation — cannot rely on rideshare services due to on-call response requirements
• Compliance with facility masking policy is mandatory for any traveler who declines flu or COVID vaccination during flu season

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Scrub experience preferred
• Experience with Epic EMR preferred
• Familiarity with General Surgery, GYN, Urology, Plastics, ENT, and/or GI procedures
• Demonstrated resilience, adaptability to change, and strong interpersonal communication skills
