About the Position

Experience in inpatient rehabilitation is a bonus. Self-directed, team player, and hard worker. Description: This position requires a physical therapist to work in an acute care hospital. The therapist will float between units as necessary. Weekend work may be required on occasion to fill in for regular staff. No on-call duties are required. The expected patient-to-therapist ratio is 8:1. Experience in various patient diagnoses, including orthopedic, trauma, stroke, amputation, debility, Parkinson’s, and cardiac conditions, is preferred. Candidates must be motivated and willing to take the initiative to see patients based on their schedules. Good time management skills and teamwork are essential. The therapist will work with adult and geriatric patients. Knowledge of charting systems, including Epic, is required. Candidates should be equipped to handle a variety of patient needs and assist with evaluations, assessments, and treatment plans. This role will involve coordination with interdisciplinary support services. Flexibility to learn and adapt is necessary due to the diverse nature of cases seen in this setting. References from previous employment covering recent experience are required. Candidates must be ready to float to nearby facilities if necessary. Performance will be monitored, and effective communication with the care team is crucial.
