Position: Nutrition Services Cook and Aide
Reports To: Dietary Manager
Schedule : Full Time Variable Hour/ Weekends
Position Location/Department: Dietary
Job Summary: Preparing and serving food to patients in the facility. Delivering food and ensuring good sanitary conditions in all aspects of the job
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Taking orders, preparing food & delivering trays.
- Ensuring patients are given the correct food allowed on diets.
- Taking temperatures on food and cooling units required.
- Following guidelines so that department is inspection ready at all times.
- Taking care of stock when needed following FIFO
- Discard leftovers, check for outdated food, and take out garbage.
- Making sure Sanitation is done as required.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education, Experience and Other Requirements:
- Checking hospital email at least once per work day since primary source of communication
- High School Diploma, Food Safety Class
- Positive attitude
