Sr. Accountant

Job TitleEssential FunctionsPrepare and review monthly journal entries, including payroll, fixed assets, p-card, commissions, tax accruals, general accruals, and other general ledger adjustmentsMaintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of reconciling itemsAssist with the daily and monthly cash reconciliation processes, including cash sheets and bank account reconciliationsPerform administrative duties to support the ongoing monthly reconciliations across multiple entitiesAssist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes across multiple entitiesPrepare financial analyses and supporting schedules for management reporting, audits, and regulatory requirementsAssist identifying process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within accounting operationsAssist with external audit/review processes, including preparation of schedules, supporting documentation, and auditor/commission requestsMaintain strong internal controls, ensuring proper segregation of duties and compliance with company proceduresDeliver internal and external customer service in line with company culture and values and ensure compliance with all company policies and federal, state and local lawsKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesAbility to work independently and effectively manages multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentAbility to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods and move throughout all areas of the property, including stairways and escalatorsAbility to lift, carry, push, pull, and move up to 50 pounds, and perform activities such as reaching, bending, twisting, stooping, and kneelingAbility to respond appropriately to visual and auditory cues and communicate clearly and persuasively. Must be available to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events as business needs requireMust be able to read, write, speak, and understand EnglishExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsEducation and ExperienceBachelor's degree. Accounting, finance, or business preferredMinimum of 2-4 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably including experience in a multi-entity or regulated environmentStrong technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP and accounting practices, with demonstrated proficiency in financial reporting systems, ERP platforms, and Microsoft 365 applicationsRequired Certification/LicenseAbility to obtain a Casino Gaming Employee (CGE) license within the State of Ohio
