Step into a pivotal role as a BCBA/Autism Specialist supporting students and staff in a dynamic school environment. This full-time, onsite position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact through behavior consultation, direct assessment, and empowering educational teams. Serving across four school sites, you'll collaborate closely with teachers, paraprofessionals, and multidisciplinary teams to enhance outcomes for students with autism. The assignment runs through June 2027, providing a unique opportunity for long-term growth and positive student impact.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Active BCBA certification (please be prepared to provide proof with your application)
- Experience working in a school setting as a BCBA or Autism Specialist
- Proficiency conducting Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and developing effective Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
- Skilled in coaching classroom staff on evidence-based behavioral strategies
- Strong background supporting autism classrooms and collaborating with diverse teams
- Reliable transportation to travel between four nearby school sites
- Able to pass a drug screening, fingerprinting, and background check (CORI)
- Strong communication, punctuality, and professional integrity
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct FBAs and design individualized BIPs for students with autism
- Offer hands-on classroom coaching for teachers and paraprofessionals
- Consult with staff to address challenging behaviors and support inclusion
- Serve as a resource for best practices in autism support and behavioral intervention
- Foster collaboration with educational, behavioral, and administrative teams
- Maintain timely communication and accurate documentation in line with school requirements
