Job Title: Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Interventional Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Interventional Radiology preferred License: RN License required Certifications: PALS, ACLS, BLS Must-Have Skills: Experience with radiology-related procedures such as paracentesis, thoracentesis, biopsies, and drainage. Ability to monitor patients during sedation procedures. Description: Assist with imaging invasive procedures under the guidance of the Interventional Radiologist. Coordinate procedures with the physician’s schedule. Collaborate with floor nurses regarding patient care. Work alongside imaging technologists regarding procedures. Assist with patient sedations, place peripheral intravenous (PIV) lines, and other related tasks. Handle both inpatient and outpatient cases, including potential pediatric patients. Utilize electronic medical record systems and equipment as part of daily duties. Participate in on-call rotations as needed outside of regular hours. Maintain standards of care and follow protocols for patient safety. Support a team environment by working with various healthcare professionals. Provide exceptional patient care throughout the procedures. Participate in department-specific orientation for new practices and protocols.
