Details Acute care hospital setting within the Occupational Therapy department Daily census of approximately 250 active consults 2:1 OTR to COTA staffing ratio Typical caseload of 8-10 patients assigned per OTR per day General acute care DME equipment used Meditech EMR system used Day shift schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM 13-week assignment length Requirements Active Occupational Therapist license required (license required if applicable) Minimum 6 months of hospital OT experience required Minimum 2 years of overall experience preferred Current BLS certification required Trauma experience preferred Comprehensive stroke experience preferred US SSN and DOB required for consideration One professional reference required No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months Additional Information Perform OT evaluations and treatments in a complex acute care environment with a wide variety of diagnosis groups Work independently with high accountability and minimal oversight Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team to meet patient needs Strong communication and collaboration skills required Flexibility needed given the fast-paced nature of acute care practice Large, collaborative therapy team with flexible scheduling options Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, no local candidates accepted American Traveler Job ID P-749011.
