Ophthalmology-Pediatric Surgical Ophthalmologist

The Department of Ophthalmology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking an Open Rank Pediatric Surgical Ophthalmologist. This role will serve patients at the UNC Kittner Eye Center, located 2226 Nelson Hwy, Ste. 200, Chapel Hill, NC and at various other clinical sites owned by UNC Eye. Academic rank and salary are commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient ophthalmic care.
• Perform pediatric ophthalmic surgeries.
• Engage in clinical and/or bench research.
• Teach and supervise residents and medical students.
• Commit to a strong clinical care program.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited Ophthalmology residency.
• Board certification or board eligibility in Ophthalmology.
• Completion of a post-residency fellowship training in Pediatric Ophthalmology.
• Eligibility for medical licensure in the state of North Carolina.

Appointment Details

Variable work schedule from 0.5 FTE to 1.0 FTE. Standard hours per week 40 hours.
