Project Manager/Estimator

Project Manager / EstimatorTrueline is seeking a Project Manager / Estimator to join its team in Council Bluffs, IA, in the Omaha metro. In this dual role, you'll own projects from the first bid through closeout, estimating and then managing Division 10 specialty packages on commercial construction projects.The company has supplied specialties on more than 25,000 projects, works with leading manufacturers across the country, and is growing. The right person is detail-driven, organized, and enjoys the variety of winning work and seeing it through to delivery.What You'll Do as the Project Manager / Estimator:Review bid documents, specifications, architectural drawings, and addendaPrepare detailed takeoffs at every stage of design for negotiated and competitive bidsSolicit and evaluate vendor and manufacturer pricing to build competitive, complete bidsTrack bid deadlines and make sure all bid forms and documents are submitted on timeManage awarded projects from handoff through closeoutServe as the primary point of contact for general contractors, vendors, and internal team membersReview contracts and confirm scope against the estimate and project requirementsCoordinate submittals, shop drawings, and material procurementTrack schedules, lead times, and milestones to keep deliveries on timeMonitor project costs, manage change orders, and protect profitabilityResolve issues proactively and keep stakeholders informedComplete accurate project documentation, including closeout materialsMust-Haves as the Project Manager / Estimator:1+ year of construction estimating experience1+ year of commercial construction project management experienceExperience with submittals, shop drawings, and project schedulingExperience communicating with general contractors and vendorsAbility to read and interpret architectural drawings and specificationsStrong understanding of takeoffs, pricing, and construction project workflowsExcellent organization, time management, and attention to detailStrong communication and problem-solving skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe, and DropboxAssociate degree or higherAbility to work in person in Council Bluffs, IANice-to-Haves as the Project Manager / Estimator:Division 10 specialties experience, such as toilet partitions and accessories, lockers, fire extinguisher cabinets, or wall protectionExperience with other specialty or architectural product scopes, such as doors, frames, and hardwareExperience with ConstructConnect and STACK takeoff and estimating softwareExperience at a specialty subcontractor, distributor, or general contractorProcurement and lead-time management experienceThis Role Offers:Base salary of $60,000-$90,000, depending on experience401(k) with a 4% company matchHealth, dental, vision, and life insurancePaid time offOwnership of projects from bid through closeoutA stable, family-owned company with nearly four decades in business and more than 25,000 projects completedRelationships with leading manufacturers and general contractors across the regionA growing team with the work to back it upTrueline and its clients are unabashed equal-opportunity employers committed to a diverse workforce.
