Senior Lead Software Engineer, Agentic AI SRE Platform

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, with at least 5 years of applied experience
• Advanced Python programming skills
• Proficiency across the software development life cycle, including automation and continuous delivery
• Hands-on experience taking agentic AI systems into production, beyond LLM wrappers or prompt-to-workflow integrations
• Experience with AI agent frameworks such as LangGraph or CrewAI, as well as runtimes, orchestration, evaluation and benchmarking systems, and model selection policies
• Experience developing production generative AI applications at scale, including experimentation, model quality measurement, retrieval-augmented generation, and vector search
• Strong cloud infrastructure experience, such as AWS, and infrastructure-as-code experience, such as Terraform
• Experience building distributed or high-scale systems where reliability is important
• Preferred: Experience in infrastructure, platform engineering, or reliability engineering
• Preferred: Knowledge of site reliability engineering practices, including service level objectives and indicators, error budgets, incident management, resilience patterns, and observability
• Preferred: Experience as a machine learning software engineer in a dynamic technology company or startup

• Design and develop enterprise AI systems that improve engineering productivity, system reliability, and operational excellence
• Architect autonomous agents that reason, analyze, and act across systems and application reliability
• Architect and govern agentic system components, including orchestration, memory and state management, workflow control, and human-in-the-loop patterns where needed
• Own end-to-end non-functional requirements for agentic architecture, including observability, security, guardrails, and evaluation
• Provision and manage scalable AI infrastructure and deployment pipelines, and optimize costs
• Develop creative software solutions, contribute to design and development, and troubleshoot technical problems using approaches beyond routine or conventional methods
• Write secure, high-quality production code, and review and debug code written by others
• Identify recurring issues and opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation to improve the operational stability of applications and systems
• Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams, probing architectural designs, technical credentials, and suitability for existing systems and information architecture
