Registered Nurse First Assist Senior

Senior RNFA Outpatient Surgery Center – Sunset Hills Staff training will begin 6‑8 weeks prior to opening date. The new surgery center will open on 10/9/2026. Clinic hours are 7:30 AM‑5:00 PM with 4‑10 hour shifts Monday‑Friday. There are 5 operating rooms and 4 GI procedure rooms. The position is a 4‑10 hour shift, Monday‑Friday, with no call, holidays, or weekends. Bonus eligible and comprehensive benefits offered. Types of Cases Orthopedic – hands, total hips/knees, sports medicine, shoulders Robotic minimally invasive surgery (MIS) ortho ENT, otolaryngology, podiatry, and scopes Responsibilities Deliver intraoperative patient care as the first assistant to the surgeon, performing pre‑operative focused nursing assessment and analyzing assessment data to determine nursing diagnosis and desired patient outcomes. Function as a team member to contribute to the overall efficiency of the peri‑operative department, considering safety, effectiveness, efficiency, environment, and cost. Monitor patient response and modify plan of care accordingly, administering medications per standard nursing practice. Develop, manage, and coordinate an individual plan of care that directs the RNFA's interventions, evaluating patient progress toward outcomes and the quality of nursing practice. Participate in professional development and lifelong learning, seeking and applying learning opportunities, evaluating practice against professional standards, and contributing to peer growth. Integrate knowledge, skills, and experience to meet patient and family needs, incorporate research into practice, practice ethically, advocate for peri‑operative health safety, and provide leadership in the profession. Maintain constant state of alertness and work safely as this is a safety‑sensitive position.
