True leaders evaluate their success not by personal accomplishments, but by the achievements of those they lead. If you have a proven record of building exceptional teams, elevating individual performance beyond expectations, and flourishing in cultures defined by high standards, this opportunity lets you deploy those capabilities in shaping young minds. Alpha students do not sit through traditional lectures. They advance academically using adaptive technology while Guides provide coaching, accountability, motivation, and essential life skills instruction. As a Lead Guide, your mission is to develop the team that executes this model—mentoring Guides, cultivating emerging leaders, and fostering an atmosphere in which students routinely surpass goals. This role is neither instructional coaching nor conventional classroom teaching. You will not review lesson plans or observe lectures—because they do not exist. Your focus will be building a culture rooted in excellence: coaching your team, facilitating dynamic life skills sessions, and inspiring students to pursue ambitious objectives. Performance will be assessed through student experience quality, team results, and your capacity to uphold rigorous standards while motivating others to reach them. Alpha is constructing the world's premier K-12 educational experience. This demands leaders who have already demonstrated the ability to elevate others' performance, make evidence-based decisions, and champion innovative approaches over entrenched traditions. If this reflects your background, we welcome the opportunity to connect. This position is available at selected Alpha campuses: Greenwich, CT; Boca Raton, FL; Miami, FL; Miami Beach, FL; Boston, MA; Raleigh, NC; New York City, NY; Orange County, CA; and Santa Barbara, CA. Whether you currently reside in one of these areas or are willing to relocate, we encourage your application. Outstanding candidates from other locations are also invited to apply. As Alpha expands, we consistently align exceptional leaders with emerging opportunities throughout our growing campus network. What You Will Be Doing Mentoring Guides to reliably provide outstanding student experiences while upholding Alpha's rigorous expectations. Facilitating dynamic life skills workshops that cultivate communication, leadership, concentration, and other practical competencies for K-12 learners. Inspiring students to pursue ambitious academic targets and optimize their progress within self-directed learning frameworks. Leveraging data, direct observation, and developmental conversations to enhance Guide effectiveness and student results. Supporting the launch and establishment of new Alpha campuses by instilling a culture grounded in excellence, accountability, and ongoing improvement. What You Won’t Be Doing Conducting traditional academic instruction or delivering subject-specific lectures. Creating lesson plans or developing curricular content. Diluting standards to generate superficial feelings of success rather than facilitating genuine mastery. Leading a team remotely from an office without direct, regular engagement with both students and Guides. Defending obsolete methods simply because \"that’s the way it’s always been done.\" Youth Education Manager Key Responsibilities Guarantee that every student consistently experiences Alpha's three core promises by developing high-performing Guides, executing compelling life skills programming, and sustaining uncompromising expectations for student achievement. Basic Requirements Commitment to on-site work at an Alpha campus (relocation assistance provided): Greenwich, CT; Boca Raton, FL; Miami, FL; Miami Beach, FL; Boston, MA; Raleigh, NC; New York City, NY; Orange County, CA; Santa Barbara, CA Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Business, or related discipline; Master’s degree preferred. Minimum 5 years of experience in education, coaching, learning and development, or comparable leadership capacity. Proven experience leading and developing teams of five or more individuals. Track record of utilizing data to produce performance improvements. Background working with children ages 5-14 in educational, coaching, or developmental contexts. Experience establishing or launching a new team, program, business, school, or initiative. Legal authorization to work in the United States. Nice-to-have Requirements Background coaching youth in athletics, debate, camps, or extracurricular activities. Outstanding public speaking and narrative communication abilities. History of attaining high levels of academic, professional, or athletic achievement. Experience driving teams toward ambitious objectives while sustaining strong accountability. Enthusiasm for questioning traditional education paradigms and contributing to a new K-12 learning model.
