Maintenance Tech

Kreider Farms is a third‑generation family‑owned business focused on dairy and egg production, located in Lancaster County. We are the largest egg producer in Pennsylvania and are consistently expanding our operations. Position: Maintenance Technician – available at Manheim, Mount Joy, Middletown, and Lebanon. The schedule is 40+ hours per week, 4 days of 10 hours each, with a rotation of every third weekend. Responsibilities Install and configure electrical and mechanical components of industrial machinery, including motors, pumps, conveyors, and control systems. Perform maintenance on machinery and equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance, including lubrication, adjustments, and parts replacement. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical and mechanical issues. Follow all safety protocols and regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to lockout/tagout procedures. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections to comply with company policies and industry regulations. Collaborate with other maintenance team members and departments to ensure seamless operations and minimize downtime. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in electrical or mechanical systems is preferred. 1–3 years of industrial maintenance experience, including mechanical/electrical, general maintenance, robotics, pneumatic, and/or hydraulic work. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals. Relevant certifications (e.g., Electrical Technician, Mechanical Technician) are a plus. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to effectively diagnose and resolve issues. Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, stand for long periods, and work in various environments, such as confined spaces and heights. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
