Project ManagerThe Project Manager will lead a multi-disciplinary team, overseeing the engineering disciplines required to deliver fully integrated design projects for clients across multiple industries. This person will be responsible for the successful execution of complex projects, ensuring quality, budget, and schedule alignment while delivering exceptional results. They will manage and coordinate engineers, architects, and designers through all project phases, from concept through construction administration, and collaborate across teams to achieve innovative design-build solutions.The specifics of the role include:Leading a project team of engineers, architects, and designers to successfully execute projects that meet client and industry standards.Managing project scope, schedule, and budget to ensure alignment with client goals.Ensuring design quality through implementation of project quality reviews.Serving as the primary point of contact for the client, fostering strong relationships and communication.Overseeing the submittal and RFI review process, and performing site visits to confirm work aligns with design intent.Supporting business development efforts by contributing to proposals, presentations, and client discussions.Demonstrating strong leadership and organizational skills with a proactive, solutions-driven approach.Requirements include:Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited university or college.10+ years of experience in engineering design, construction, or project management.2+ years of experience managing design or project teams.Broad knowledge of advanced manufacturing, food & beverage, consumer, or ecommerce environments, with an understanding of client requirements and industry standards.Competitive drive and persistence to overcome challenges and deliver results.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).Strong communicator, able to present clearly to clients and internal stakeholders.Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.Understanding of design-build delivery and client decision-making drivers.Team-oriented, adaptable, and resilient in dynamic environments.Willingness to travel to client or project sites as required.Some things you should know:No other builder can offer the collaborative design-build approach that Clayco does.We work on creative, complex, award-winning, high-profile jobs.The pace is fast!Why Clayco and LJC?2025 Best Places to Work – St. Louis Business Journal, Los Angeles Business Journal, and Phoenix Business Journal.2025 ENR Midwest – Midwest Contractor (#1).2025 ENR Top 100 Design-Build Firms – Design-Build Contractor (Top 5).2025 ENR Top 100 Green Contractors – Green Contractor (Top 3).2025 ENR Top 25 Data Center Builders - Data Center Contractor (Top 3).Benefits:Discretionary Annual Bonus: Subject to company and individual performance.Comprehensive Benefits Package Including: Medical, dental and vision plans, 401k, generous PTO and paid company holidays, employee assistance program, flexible spending accounts, life insurance, disability coverage, learning & development programs and more!Compensation:The salary range for this position considers a wide range of factors in making compensation decisions including but not limited to: Education, qualifications, skills, training, experience, certifications, internal equity, and location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The Clayco Nationwide salary range for this position is approximately $140,000 – 175,000 +/- annually (not adjusted for location).
