Senior Marketing Communications & Operations Manager - Pork & Poultry

Job Purpose and Impact

The Senior Marketing Communications & Operations Manager - Pork & Poultry will lead integrated brand, marketing communications, demand generation, and AI-enabled marketing operations for the Cargill Animal Nutrition & Health Pork and Poultry businesses, with strategic influence across the broader North America business unit. In this role, you will translate business strategy into market-facing programs that build brand strength, accelerate customer engagement, and equip the sales team to win, while leading the AI, automation, and process improvement initiatives that scale marketing effectiveness across the organization. You will collaborate cross-functionally with sales, technical teams, business leadership, and agency partners to deliver integrated marketing activities that drive profitable growth and meaningful customer experiences.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Business, Agriculture, or a related field, or equivalent experience

• Minimum of four years of related marketing experience, including B2B brand and integrated marketing leadership

• Demonstrated experience leading integrated marketing programs and product launches

• Hands-on experience leveraging AI tools and marketing automation platforms in a professional marketing context

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree (MBA or marketing-related)

• Experience in animal health, animal nutrition, or agricultural industries

• Experience leading product launches and developing sales enablement programs in B2B settings
• Seven years or more of related marketing experience, including B2B brand and integrated marketing leadership

• Experience designing and implementing AI-enabled marketing workflows, content automation, or brand compliance systems

• Proficiency with marketing technology platforms (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Power BI, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva)

• Demonstrated cross-functional leadership across sales, technical, and business teams

• Experience managing marketing budgets and agency/vendor partnerships

• Experience with marketing performance measurement and ROI optimization

Key Accountabilities

• Brand & Portfolio Strategy. Develop and lead brand strategy, product portfolio positioning, and value propositions for the Pork and Poultry businesses, ensuring marketing strategy aligns with commercial objectives and customer decision journeys.

• Integrated Marketing Execution. Plan, execute, and measure integrated marketing programs across the Pork and Poultry businesses through digital, content, social, events, video, and traditional channels to build brand awareness, accelerate customer engagement, and support pipeline goals across the buyer journey.

• Marketing Operations, AI & Automation. Lead the design, build, and continuous optimization of AI-enabled marketing systems including content automation workflows, brand compliance infrastructure, and AI-augmented operational tooling to scale marketing output, improve consistency, reduce time-to-market, and free strategic capacity across the broader marketing organization.

• Sales Enablement & Cross-Functional Partnership. Partner with sales, technical, category, and commercial leadership across both businesses to translate business strategy into sales tools, product positioning, content, and objection-handling resources that drive pipeline and accelerate win rates.

• Marketing Maturity & Capability Building. Assess marketing maturity across assigned businesses and develop foundational capabilities, processes, and tooling where needed to ensure consistent strategic and operational marketing support across the Pork and Poultry portfolios.

• Vendor, Budget & Measurement. Manage external vendors and agency partners, oversee marketing budget allocation and ROI, and establish performance measurement frameworks to optimize marketing effectiveness, resource allocation, and program evolution.

• Strategic Influence & Marketing Thought Partnership. Serve as a marketing thought partner to business leadership and broader marketing team members, contributing to strategic decision-making and offering informal coaching and mentorship on integrated marketing best practices, AI fluency, and brand activation.

• Independently handle complex marketing issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.

Applicant Information

The expected salary for this position is $130,000 – 165,000. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal performance.
