Occupational Therapist
School Year 2026-2027 Occupational Therapist Location: K-12, Location: TBD
Performance Responsibilities/Duties:
- Experience providing direct (individual and group) and indirect (consult) services related to fine motor skills and sensory needs.
- Experience with feeding and oral-motor programs.
- Experience with a variety of assistive technology and positioning equipment (i.e., sitting/standing equipment, special feeding equipment, writing utensils, AAC etc.).
- Preferred experience with sensory motor integration strategies.
- Knowledge or experience with data collection related to occupational therapy goals.
- Experience working with students with a range of disabilities including autism and intellectual disabilities.
- Ability to observe a student engaging in an activity and provide strategies to facilitate the student's full participation.
- Reduce barriers that limit student participation within the school environment.
- Utilize assistive technology to support student success.
- Develop benchmarks and annual goals to be part of the IEP and completed progress monitoring and reporting.
- Complete necessary documentation for Medicaid Cost Recovery.
- Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills.
- Applicants must meet State of Delaware license requirements as an Occupational Therapist as determined by the Board of Occupational Therapy Practice.
- Prior experience working in a school system
- Ability to work well on a team
- Ability to prioritize an organized schedule
