Field Service Power Generation Technician/ Mechanic

Diagnoses and completes less complex repairs to generators and components at the customer's site.

We are looking for a talented Field Service Power Generation Technician/ Mechanic to join our Distribution Business in Charlotte, NC. We offer up to $5000 sign-on bonus to external candidates, relocation, competitive pay and benefits!

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Completing repair activities on generators or components
• Engaging with customers in a courteous and professional manner
• Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
• Maintain detailed records of service
• Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
• Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products
• Maintain own tools

External Qualifications and Competencies

In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:

• Broad mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance abilities.
• High Voltage / Low Voltage experience.
• Capable of electrical repair and maintenance with minimal supervision – hands on exposure to working on power generation products.
• Basic Diesel Engine experience.
• Proficient troubleshooting and repairs of generators, transfer switches, and auxiliary components.
• Able to perform repairs on ATS systems and able to perform commissioning on a new ATS installation.

Additional Responsibilities Unique to this Position

Education, or Experience Preferences that are nice to have:

- A current valid license is required for this role - Must be 18 years old with 2 years driving experience - This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations

Education, Licenses, Certifications: Apprentice Certified Power Generation/ Electrical Technician (Preferred) Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution Current relevant electrical certification Locally valid driving permit This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations. Experience: Basic level field service work experience Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with of power generation products High Voltage/ Low Voltage experience Customer service experience

Salary rate commensurate with experience.
