Assistant Store Manager

Role Overview The Assistant Store Manager supports store operations to ensure a clean, organized environment with a customer-first focus. Under the Store Manager's guidance, they supervise employees, assist with merchandise management, and handle administrative duties such as paperwork and deposits. They perform stocking, cashiering, and other duties to maximize profitability, protect assets, and enhance customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Deliver exceptional customer service, greet customers, and operate cash registers. Assist with employee scheduling, training, safety meetings, and policy compliance. Manage merchandise receiving, stocking, display setup, and inventory control. Ensure accurate cash handling, security, and store financial procedures. Support store management in the absence of the Store Manager. Qualifications & Skills Effective communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Ability to interpret manuals, perform mathematical calculations, and operate cash registers. Knowledge of cash, facility, and safety policies, with cashier accountability experience. Experience & Education High school diploma or equivalent preferred. At least one year retail experience and six months supervisory experience preferred. Working Conditions Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 55 pounds. Use of equipment like scanners, pricing guns, and carts.
