Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

High School Special Education Teacher

Position Type: Full-Time (35 hours/week)
Duration: August 20, 2026 – June 16, 2027

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Special Education Teacher to support high school students through specialized instruction and individualized services. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality Specially Designed Instruction (SDI), manage caseload responsibilities, and ensure compliance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct special education instruction and SDI to assigned students.
• Manage and maintain a caseload of approximately 20 students.
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Ensure all documentation and compliance requirements are completed accurately and on time.
• Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instruction as needed to support academic success.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and related service providers to support student outcomes.
• Participate in meetings, including IEP meetings and team collaboration sessions.

Student Population

Students may present with a variety of needs, including but not limited to:

• Learning Disabilities (LD)
• Other Health Impairments (OHI)
• Emotional Disabilities (ED)

Schedule

• Monday–Friday
• 35 hours per week
