Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 36-hour guarantee, every other weekend, holidays as needed

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a dynamic adaptive acuity unit, ranging from medical-surgical to progressive care levels
• Monitor and manage telemetry and drips including insulin, esmolol, and sodium drips
• Act as charge nurse, overseeing unit operations and patient assignments
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Float to any inpatient unit within scope of practice as needed

Qualifications

• Active Vermont RN License or Compact state license
• Current BLS (American Heart Association) and ACLS certifications
• 2+ years of current med surg/tele experience required
• Charge nurse experience required
• Progressive Care Unit/PCU experience strongly required
• Drip management experience including insulin, esmolol, and sodium drips
• Minimum 3 months previous travel experience required
• Must have own reliable vehicle

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and drip management
• Ability to adapt to changing patient acuity levels
• Charge nurse leadership experience
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
