Paralegal - Strategic Litigation Unit

Overview The Committee for Public Counsel Services, the Massachusetts public defender agency, is seeking a full‑time Paralegal for its Strategic Litigation Unit in Boston. The role focuses on fighting injustice and supporting systemic reform for CPCS clients. The position requires daily presence in the office. Agency Overview CPCS is the state agency responsible for providing legal representation to individuals who cannot afford attorneys in a wide range of criminal and related cases. The agency seeks socially and culturally competent staff able to serve a diverse client population. Office Overview The Strategic Litigation Unit works to eliminate systemic injustices through litigation, data collection, analysis, and attorney support. Position Overview The paralegal will assist the SLU in addressing systemic issues, focusing on public records requests and database support. The role reports to the Director of Strategic Litigation.
