Nurse Practitioner - MAT Prescriber

About the Job Who We Are: Central City Health (CCH) has been serving the under-housed and at-risk population in metro Detroit since 1972, by providing integrated healthcare services. Our services include primary and pediatric care, dental care, behavioral and SUD care, supportive housing, and community re-entry services, to name a few. Our Mission: To achieve wellness in the community by providing an array of primary and behavioral health care, housing, and substance abuse services with dignity and respect. CCH participates in the NHSC Loan Repayment Program AND the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF). GENERAL DESCRIPTION The Nurse Practitioner role at Central City Health is working with the clinical team in providing the best patient care and an excellent place to work in order to keep our patient healthy and out of the hospital. The Nurse Practitioner will practice primary care in our clinics alongside their provider colleagues. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Master's degree in nursing required.
- Experience with addiction medicine , specifically substance use disorders (SUD).
- Valid Michigan licensure as a Certified Nurse Practitioner required.
- Minimum two (2) years experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a public health or community mental health setting.
- Experience with patients exhibiting severe and persistent mental illness preferred.
- Basic Life Support certification required ; ACLS preferred.
- Must meet all Continuing Education requirements.
- Must be comfortable with community outreach and working with patients exhibiting severe and persistent mental illness.
