Required Qualifications:

• Current Texas Special Education EC-12 teaching certification (check TEA database for qualification)
• Prior experience within special education, especially with elementary-age students diagnosed with autism and intellectual disabilities, is highly valued
• Successful completion of a district fingerprint background check and drug screening

Essential Responsibilities:

• Instruct and support up to eight elementary students in a self-contained classroom, focusing on those impacted by autism and intellectual disabilities
• Collaborate with two classroom assistants to deliver individualized educational plans and maintain a productive, nurturing learning environment
• Engage in regular communication with families and educational staff to maximize student progress and inclusion
• Maintain detailed records in accordance with state and district guidelines
