National Real Estate Insurance Group is seeking a dynamic, strategic and detail-oriented Underwriter to join our growing team (onsite training and occasional meetings are required, though the role can be remotely based). Underwriters ensure content of proposals and policy renewals are complete and accurate and use system software consistent with established standards, managing requisite data, including rates and carrier information. Underwriting individual locations based on P&C Program guidelines and premium objectives, Underwriters assist with the placement of business with our various carriers considering capacity, property type, and other Program objectives. Responsibilities The day-to day responsibilities of this position include: Issue underwriting approvals for Sales & Service Use resources (Google Earth, county website, realtor websites, etc.) to review and confirm property data Respond to general underwriting questions from internal and external clients Prepare correspondence and/or underwriting reports with results of all audits Communicate with internal clients, external clients, regulatory agencies, brokers/underwriters to provide audit results, provide feedback and assist with questions Upload and document approvals and notices Increase values, assign policies and overrides, as needed Mass transition of locations in the Platform, as needed Assist with other underwriting tasks, as needed Regular and predictable attendance Qualifications We are seeking qualified candidates who possess: P&C license (is required) Up to 3 years P&C/Underwriting experience Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Tech savvy, with an ability to learn proprietary software platforms Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work comfortably in a fast‑paced environment Flexibility to move from project to project easily We will consider applicants in the Kansas City Metropolitan, the Columbus, OH metropolitan and the Oklahoma City metropolitan areas.
