Billing Solutions Specialist I

Under frequent supervision, the Billing Solutions Specialist I supports the Billing Solutions team by facilitating daily operations and helping to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and high-quality service delivery. This role handles customer calls and emails, processes return mail, and assists with payment posted and related administrative tasks.

Principal duties and responsibilities include:

• Assist in handling incoming calls and emails, responding and answering questions.
• Process return mail and initiating research to determine correct addresses as needed.
• Assist with identifying payment posting, copying, scanning, mail runs, treasury runs, and other miscellaneous tasks.
• Provide basic operational and customer support to insureds and agents.
• Conduct effective communication via telephone and email with various internal or external channels.
• Assist in researching and developing appropriate answers to inquiries based on customer channel.
• Assist in maintaining records of customer interactions, recording details of inquiries, complaints, and comments as well as actions taken.

Education and experience typically require a high school diploma, 0+ years of related experience, or an equivalent level of education and experience. Bi-lingual preferred.

Knowledge, skills, and competencies include:

• Ability to research simple to moderately complex billing and collection issues and recommend appropriate actions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all internal and external contacts involved in the billing and collection processes.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office software as well as general ledger and billing and collections applications to identify, analyze, and resolve billing and collection issues.
• Ability to work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with the team and management.
• Ability to provide excellent customer service support in a timely and friendly manner.
• Detail oriented with good organizational skills.

Compensation overview includes a base pay range of $18.01 - $23.77. The salary offered will take into account a number of factors including geographic location, experience, scope and responsibilities of the role, qualifications/credentials, talent availability & specialization, as well as business needs. The below range may be modified in the future.
