Quality Inspector

Quality Inspector The Quality Inspector is responsible for conducting various inspections on civil aviation articles received by the repair station. This includes preliminary, hidden-damage, in-process, final inspections, and return-to-service functions, all in accordance with technical data provided by manufacturers and industry standards. Responsibilities Perform inspections on maintenance, preventive maintenance, or alteration of powerplants, aircraft, or appliances, ensuring compliance with accepted or approved data. Conduct inspections to verify that major repairs and alterations were performed using proper tools and test equipment, ensuring no unauthorized deviations. Execute inspection tasks as outlined on Company job cards, repair and routing travelers, and record discrepancies as necessary. Review corrective action entries, including installed parts/material tags, tools and equipment used, proper sign-off, and references. Conduct receiving inspections on incoming parts, materials, and tooling to ensure Company standards and requirements are met, and generate applicable identification tags. Assist in the development and training of new inspectors. Essential Skills Exceptional attention to detail and proficiency in inspection methods, techniques, aids, tools, and equipment used in aircraft jet engine maintenance. Airframe and/or Powerplant license required. 3 5 years of experience in aircraft jet engine maintenance, with CFM56 experience as a plus. Experience with borescope inspection and interpretation of technical data during the borescope process. Familiarity with all regulatory requirements governing the maintenance of aircraft jet engines. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in the aviation industry, particularly with engine inspection. Knowledge of CFM engines, including CFM56. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Miami, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $52.00/hr.
