Quality Inspector- 2nd Shift

Shift: 3:30pm-12am Monday through Friday or 5:30pm-4am and 12pm-6pm on Saturdays Pay: Up to $24/hr plus 7% shift premium

POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector (2nd Shift) to support inspection and validation processes in a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring that components and finished products meet safety, functionality, and appearance standards through incoming, in-process, and final inspections. The ideal candidate has strong experience with precision measurement tools, blueprint reading, and quality systems, and thrives in a fast-paced production environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections on components and finished products Validate first piece inspections and ensure process compliance Use precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, height gauges, thread gauges, and dial indicators Utilize advanced inspection equipment such as laser tracking or video inspection systems when required Identify, document, and segregate non-conforming materials or defects and initiate corrective reports Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD data to determine inspection methods and specifications Ensure all inspection tools are calibrated and maintain calibration records Maintain accurate documentation within the Quality Management System (QMS) Collaborate with toolmakers and engineers to provide feedback and improve processes Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma or GED 1-3+ years of quality inspection experience in manufacturing, tool & die, or precision machining Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Experience using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges) Strong math skills for dimensional calculations and tolerances Understanding of automotive quality standards Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel/Word) or ERP systems Authorization to work in the United States Additional Qualifications Technical trade school certification preferred Familiarity with CAD data and advanced inspection equipment Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy Ability to work in a physically demanding environment including standing for extended periods Strong communication skills with ability to collaborate across departments Problem-solving mindset with ability to identify root causes and recommend improvements Commitment to maintaining quality, safety, and compliance standards.
