About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Pediatrics Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 18:45 - 07:15 Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: 2+ years required License: RN License required Certifications: PALS, BLS, APHON for oncology Must-Have: Pediatric experience in a hospital Pediatric Oncology experience Description: General Comments: Unit information includes both pediatrics and oncology. The unit has a total of 19 beds, consisting of 13 pediatric beds and 6 oncology beds. The staff includes 22 total members, with 10 in pediatrics and 12 in oncology. The unit is always staffed with at least one oncology nurse per day. Day shift consists of 4 RNs, 1 charge RN, 1 RT, and 1 PCT. Night shift consists of 4 RNs, 1 charge RN, 1 RT, and 1 PCT. Patient ratios are 1:3, 1:4, and 1:5. Equipment utilized includes Alaris pumps. The electronic medical record system used is Cerner. Ideal candidates will be detail-oriented and organized. Floating may occur to PICU and NICU as needed. Scrub colors for RNs are either all navy, all white, or a combination of navy and white. Weekends are required, with 6 weekend shifts, including 2 Saturdays. This position is for a vacant role.
