Job Title: Emergency Room Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Flexible to days/evenings/nights & weekends Hours per Shift: Guaranteed 36 hours Experience: Minimum 3 years License: RN license from any state accepted Certifications: - Basic Life Support (BLS) - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) required within one year of hire - Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) required within one year of hire - Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) required within one year of hire - National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) must be completed within six months of hire - Emergency Severity Index Level 5 within three months of hire - Patient Sitter Competency Training upon hire Must-Have: Must maintain current valid certifications throughout employment Description: This position requires a registered nurse to perform a variety of nursing care procedures. The role involves providing professional knowledge and consideration for specific patient conditions and treatments. The nurse must possess the ability to work independently in completing assignments. Guidelines include physician orders, standards of care, nursing policies and procedures manuals, and hospital policies. Duties include supporting individuals of all ages and their families. The community served includes a culturally rich environment with diverse populations. The clinical nurse will collaborate with a team of medical providers and nursing staff. The nursing staff includes various roles, such as registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and nurse practitioners. This position involves working in a setting that provides comprehensive emergency services. Additional training and certifications may be required during employment. Flexibility in scheduling is necessary, as the role involves working on weekends and holidays.
