In this position, you will perform electrocardiograms (EKGs) for adult and pediatric patients, assist with Holter monitor and event recorder setup, and provide clear patient education to ensure proper use of monitoring equipment. You will also perform PTVP/ICD downloads and utilize MUSE and Epic systems to accurately document and manage patient information. Perform high-quality electrocardiograms (EKGs) for adult and pediatric patients using approved standards and techniques. Operate ECG equipment to accurately record and monitor the electrical activity of the heart. Utilize MUSE and Epic systems to enter orders, edit, process, interpret workflow results, and archive 12-lead ECG records. Prioritize and respond appropriately to STAT, ASAP, and routine ECG orders to support timely patient care. Promptly notify nursing staff and/or providers of significant ECG abnormalities requiring immediate clinical attention. Apply strong computer skills to support documentation, data management, and report generation activities. Enroll patients in ambulatory cardiac monitoring programs and provide education on the proper placement and use of Holter monitors and event recorders upon discharge. Maintain, troubleshoot, and ensure the readiness of departmental equipment to support efficient operations. Foster a culture of Respect, Engagement, and Service in all interactions with patients, families, providers, and colleagues. Maintain all required departmental, hospital, and specialty-specific competencies and certifications. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a cardiac, telemetry, cardiovascular, or related healthcare setting required. Ability to successfully complete treadmill training and demonstrate competency within six (6) months of hire. Must successfully complete and pass a Basic Arrhythmia course within two (2) attempts. Strong attention to detail, critical thinking skills, and the ability to recognize and escalte cardiac rhythm abnormalities.
