HOUSING FINANCE SPECIALIST (MANAGEMENT SERVICES)

Job Posting: Asset Management Specialist Position: Asset Management Specialist Salary: $6,623.00 - $8,290.00 per Month Contract type: Permanent, Full Time Location: Sacramento County Telework: Hybrid Application Deadline: Until Filled Job Description and Duties Under the direction of the Housing Finance Officer, the Housing Finance Specialist is responsible for the financial oversight and risk management of an assigned portfolio of multifamily affordable housing developments. The Specialist performs comprehensive reviews, approvals, and analysis of operating budgets, financial reports, audits, and portfolio performance to ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Agency regulations. Working Conditions Hybrid telework schedules are available. The amount of telework is at CalHFA’s discretion and is based on operational needs. In-person attendance will be required weekly. The office is located at 500 Capitol Mall, downtown Sacramento. Visa sponsorship is not available. Minimum Qualifications Either I: One year in the mortgage operations of the California Housing Finance Agency at a level of responsibility equivalent to that of Housing Finance Associate. Or II: Three years of experience in the fiscal management of real property, including budgeting, hiring, purchasing, and accounting for profitability of projects for a sponsor, developer, or owner of rental housing, including at least one year of experience in the management of housing developments with more than 100 apartment units. A Master’s Degree in Planning, Economics, Business, Government, Finance or a related field may be substituted for one year of the required experience. Education: Graduation from college, preferably with a degree in planning, economics, government, finance or a related field. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted on the basis of one year of experience equals two years of college education. Candidate must be on the eligibility list for the Housing Finance Specialist (Management Services) classification.
