Homemaking PositionLocation: Sheridan, ColoradoOpenings: 15Salary Range: $37,440-$52,000Shifts Available: 2pm-10pm & 10pm - 6am. Sunday - Saturday.Rates: $18-25 per hour with weekly pay.Responsibilities of the HHA role include:Household Management DutiesDusting and vacuuming living areas.Sweeping and mopping floors.Cleaning bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, showers, and tubs.Cleaning kitchens, including wiping down counters, cleaning sinks, and maintaining appliances.Washing, drying, folding, and ironing clothes and linens.Putting away clean laundry.Planning and preparing meals according to dietary needs and preferences.Ensuring food safety and proper storage of leftovers.Cleaning up after meals, including washing dishes and maintaining a clean kitchen.Grocery shopping and purchasing household supplies.Running errands such as picking up prescriptions or mail.Taking out the trash and recycling.Ensuring proper disposal of household waste.Safety and Maintenance DutiesEnsuring pathways are clear of obstacles to prevent falls.Checking that smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors are functioning.Reporting any maintenance issues or hazards to the appropriate person or agency.Making the bed and changing linens regularly to ensure cleanliness and comfort.Helping clients organize their living spaces to improve accessibility and reduce clutter.Assisting with seasonal cleaning tasks and organizing storage areas.Companionship and SupportProviding social interaction and companionship to reduce feelings of loneliness and isolation.Engaging in conversations and recreational activities as appropriate.Offering encouragement and support to clients, helping them maintain a positive outlook.Administrative DutiesKeeping records of services provided and tasks completed.Reporting any changes in the client's condition or needs to the supervising agency or case manager.Maintaining clear and open communication with clients, their families, and other members of the care team.Coordinating with other IHSS providers, such as Home Health Aides or Personal Care Assistants, to ensure comprehensive care.Additional ResponsibilitiesFollowing Agency program guidelines and regulations.Attending required training sessions and maintaining any necessary certifications.Being prepared to respond to emergencies and knowing the proper procedures to follow.The role of a Homemaker in a Personal care setting is crucial for enabling clients to live independently and comfortably in their own homes by providing essential household support and companionship.
