Audio DSP Engineer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Audio DSP Engineer to join our In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) audio development team supporting next-generation electric vehicle platforms. This role focuses on real-time audio signal processing , voice communication, ECNR, and audio post-processing solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing, integrating, debugging, tuning, and validating audio algorithms on embedded production systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and maintain the infotainment audio software stack.
• Design and integrate voice communication and voice recognition solutions for IVI platforms.
• Implement, tune, and validate real-time audio processing algorithms.
• Collaborate closely with hardware, system integration, and software teams to ensure seamless audio system performance.
• Work with QA teams to perform testing, debugging, validation, and performance optimization.
• Support audio feature development from prototype to production deployment.

Required Qualifications Audio DSP & Voice Processing

Strong hands-on experience with speech and microphone-array signal processing, including several of the following:

• Acoustic Echo Cancellation (AEC)
• Adaptive Beamforming (MVDR or similar)
• Noise Reduction (NR)
• Residual Echo Suppression (RES)
• Voice Activity Detection (VAD)
• Automatic Gain Control (AGC)
• Wind Noise Reduction
• Direction of Arrival (DoA) Estimation
• Speech Enhancement

Experience in:

• Traditional DSP and statistical signal processing techniques
• Deep Learning / Neural Network-based speech enhancement
• Hybrid DSP + Machine Learning audio solutions

Audio Post-Processing

Experience developing or integrating real-time audio playback and post-processing pipelines, including:

• Audio Mixing and Routing
• Volume and Gain Control
• Mute and Ducking
• Channel Mapping
• Equalization (EQ)
• Audio Filtering
• Sample Rate Conversion (SRC)
• Audio Effects Processing

Linux Audio & Embedded Systems

• Strong understanding of Linux audio architecture, particularly ALSA.
• Strong C/C++ development experience for real-time audio systems.
• Experience with embedded software development and debugging.

Preferred Qualifications

• Commercial product development experience in voice communication and voice recognition systems.
• Automotive or IVI audio development experience.
• Hands-on experience with DSP Concepts Audio Weaver (AWE) .
• Experience using audio measurement, tuning, and validation tools:
