Quality Assurance Representative

Description Heidtman Steel Products is seeking a Quality Assurance (QA) Representative to serve the Eastern US and Canada regions. The QA Rep will be responsible for customer support and communications, including investigating and resolving customer claims; internal quality issues and part evaluations; and assisting with purchasing and production. Responsibilities Providing metallurgical and technical service to our customers and acting as the liaison between the Company and the customer Investigating customer complaints and/or rejections to determine the root cause and develop corrective actions Providing technical support to sales, operations, resource planning, and purchasing Conducting new part investigations and working with other departments to complete the contract review process required to successfully launch new business Other duties as assigned Requirements Technical degree and/or experience in steel manufacturing Quality Management System experience Internal and external audit experience Proficient in quality tools, mathematics, and statistics Skilled in problem-solving and developing robust preventive actions Some overnight travel may be required, depending on customer base being supplied Metallography experience is a plus Benefits Competitive compensation with performance-based bonuses Comprehensive benefits package including medical, vision, dental, and prescription coverage 401(k) plan with company match and flexible spending account Company paid disability and life insurance benefits Health club reimbursement and tuition assistance and more EEO #J-18808-Ljbffr
