Production Floor Operator
Join a dynamic team where you will be cross-trained to perform a variety of tasks on the production floor, ensuring flexibility and a comprehensive skill set. This role involves working with written instructions and SOPs, basic math, and computer operations. You will work in a cleanroom environment operating staple loader machines, inserting staples into surgical stapling devices, and performing light inspection tasks under a microscope.
Responsibilities
- Follow written work instructions and SOPs.
- Perform basic math calculations.
- Use computer systems for scanning barcodes, logging into jobs, creating and printing labels.
- Work in a cleanroom environment with staple loader machines.
- Insert staples into surgical stapling devices.
- Conduct loading, assembling, molding, and light inspection under a microscope.
Essential Skills
- At least 1 year of industrial experience in areas such as warehouse, manufacturing, landscaping, trade school, or automotive.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including scanning barcodes and navigating ERP systems.
- Experience or comfort in working in a cleanroom environment, using microscopes, and adhering to strict cleanroom protocols.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with CNC operations.
- Knowledge of electric polishing.

Work Environment
The work environment is a standard manufacturing facility that is clean, well-lit, and climate-controlled. Safety glasses and hearing protection are provided as needed. In the cleanroom, standard PPE such as smocks, hair nets, and beard nets are required, with all PPE provided by the company. The schedule includes all positions starting with a 1st shift orientation, with subsequent flexibility. Shifts are Monday to Friday with designated breaks and lunch times, and a cafeteria is available. Parking is convenient, with designated smoking areas.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Britain, CT.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.70/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
