Your impact
  • Execute minor surface corrections on case goods and tables.
  • Perform solid color paper/side refinishes to match original finishes.
  • Reconstruct small corner damages requiring structural rebuild.
  • Configure and operate a spray booth; understand safe and effective setup/use.
  • Carry out advance replacement part repairs.
  • Signal tool/part/hardware maintenance needs and keep the shop spotless and organized.
  • Inspect damaged items to determine if restoration to like-new is feasible.
  • Coach warehouse personnel on minor touch-up techniques during inspections.
  • Log and pursue trends in reoccurring product damages.
  • Escalate repeated item issues to the Guest Response Team and DC Manager.
  • Complete upholstery work, including mechanism replacement on reclining/adjustable pieces.
  • Pitch in to assist fellow technicians.
  • Provide accurate reports when a repair cannot be completed.
  • Evaluate each damage to determine the fastest, most effective repair method.
  • Identify damage, loss, or surplus of warehouse goods and materials.
  • Model the Company’s Core and Growth Values.

  • Comply with OSHA and all company safety procedures.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma.
  • 1+ year of practical furniture repair experience (upholstery, leather, wood refinishing).
  • Clear, professional communication.
  • Self-directed with strong time management.
  • Proficient with MS Office; able to learn in-house systems.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
Physical capability & environment
  • Close/distance/color/peripheral vision; depth perception; ability to adjust focus for reading reports and screens.
  • Hear, comprehend, and respond to spoken instructions.
  • Clearly articulate information to others.
  • Extended sitting when required.
  • Frequent repetitive hand motions for keyboarding, handwriting, office/POS, and handheld gear.
  • Prolonged standing and walking.
  • Regular bending, squatting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching at or above shoulder level.
  • Lift/carry up to 50 lbs. independently; more with assistance.
  • Primarily warehouse setting with occasional work at new retail locations under construction.
  • Exposure may include oil, latex, spray paint, household chemicals, biological odors, household dusts; moderate office noise.
  • Follow all safe work practices; perform other duties as assigned.
