If you are patient, compassionate, team-oriented, and passionate about making a difference during those important first years, we would love to meet you!The Infant Caregiver reports directly to the Center Leadership team.The Infant Caregiver will plan, implement, and supervise the infant care program as designated by The Learning Experience while demonstrating exceptional professional conduct and consideration for the safety and well-being of the children. The Infant Caregiver will serve in a co-teaching capacity based on center enrollment.The Infant Caregiver must comply with the minimum educational standards as set forth by the company and current governmental regulations. Previous experience caring for infants ages 6 weeks to one year.Must be at least 18 years of ageBe of good character and reputationBe of sufficient physical, mental and emotional health to perform job duties satisfactorilyMust be able to lift a minimum of 25lbsPossess skills, attributes and characteristics conducive to and suitable for dealing with childrenMust speak English well enough to communicate with children, staff, management, and parentsMust be able to read and write English well enough to prepare, complete and maintain administrative forms and records as required by current governmental regulations and company policies and procedures.Knowledge of infant growth and developmentSatisfy the mandatory physical and background checks as required by State and company regulations and policiesInfant CPR (preferred)The Infant Caregiver shall be primarily assigned to a single childcare center and be able to provide care during normal center hours and adhere to a schedule that may include evenings and weekends.First and foremost, the Infant Caregiver's responsibility will be to maintain the safety and well-being of the children and staff while implementing the Infant program in alignment with company policies, philosophies, and procedures. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Demonstrate a working knowledge of all current governmental rules and regulations that pertain to the operation of The Learning Experience centersDemonstrate a thorough understanding of all policies and procedures contained in the Operations Manual, Employee Handbook, Student Enrollment Packet, and Curriculum GuidesMust implement and follow all infant care procedures as mandated in the current governmental rules and regulations and company policies and proceduresCompile individual observation and feeding/diapering reports on daily basis, maintaining a file on each child as well as supplying the parents with daily communication letterReport all incidents immediately to the Center Leadership team, filing the appropriate form and working with the Center Leadership team for resolution and classroom improvementMaintain "Tour Ready" classroomAttend meetings as requestedSupport center staff as requestedHelp to maintain the general appearance of the center and its common areasGood character and reputationNurturingCheerfulCreativeResponsibleReliableWell organizedTeam orientedThe Infant Caregiver's performance will be deemed acceptable when he/she:Implements the infant program and manages an infant room to the satisfaction of the Center Leadership team, Franchise team, and Corporate OfficeDemonstrates the ability to communicate well with children, parents, staff and managementIs reliableShows consideration to othersMaintains a professional appearance and attitude at all timesResolves issues in a timely mannerFollows procedural and record keeping duties accurately and efficientlyUnderstands the needs of the childrenHandles constructive feedback and suggestions in a professional mannerDemonstrates the ability to teach and re-teach individuals educational skills incorporating different styles of learning on a developmentally appropriate levels and keeps accurate records of the child's progressAdapts well to changeIt is the policy or the company to encourage employees to explore growth and training as well as support and assist other positions in task and duties above and beyond their normal scope of work. Compensation: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
